Everything you need to know about using GameLib.
1. Commitment to Copyright Protection
GameLib respects the intellectual property rights of creators, gaming studios, and corporations. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and international copyright laws (including the EU Copyright Directive), we act swiftly to remove infringing content when properly notified.
2. How to File a Takedown Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been unlawfully replicated, distributed, or hosted on our storefront without your authorization, please submit an official DMCA Takedown notice. You can do this quickly by using our Contact Support form (select the "DMCA Takedown" category) or by emailing our legal team directly at [email protected].
To ensure a fast and legally binding response, your notice must include the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to your official website, game repository, or registered trademark database).
- The exact URL (link) of the allegedly infringing asset currently hosted on GameLib.
- Your professional contact information (name, corporate email address, and phone number).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the intellectual property owner.
3. Action Taken by GameLib
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Immediately hide or permanently remove the infringing asset from the storefront.
- If applicable, notify the original uploader (if different from the admin) regarding the takedown and the reasons behind it.
- Fully cooperate with payment processors and authorities regarding any refunds related to the infringing item.
4. Fair Use & Inspired Content
Please note that GameLib may host original, custom-made assets (such as UI kits or text effects) that are "inspired by" popular gaming genres or styles under the principles of Fair Use. We do not rip, extract, or illegally host proprietary code, 3D models, or official engine files from existing commercial games.
